Address: ul. gen. Lipskiego 5 , 62-250 Czerniejewo
The palace is located on the northern edge of the city, connected to it by a long avenue, erected in 1771-1775 for Jan Lipski according to the design of the architect Ignacy Graff. The palace was originally a late Baroque, two-story palace with two wings and two courtyards. The first, external (so-called avant-cour, forecourt) has coach houses and stables on the sides. The second, internal (so-called cour d'honneur, honorary courtyard) is surrounded by two outbuildings from the sides. The palace has been rebuilt many times. The first reconstruction, from 1789-1790 and later, probably carried out according to the Kamsetzer design, gave the palace a neoclassical character, and consisted, inter alia, in the addition of a four-column portico with a tympanum protruding significantly above the facade line. The portico allowed indoor access to the entrance and added splendor to the residence. Other elements of this reconstruction are a thorough interior rearrangement. Then, on the main axis of the palace, on the ground floor, a living room supported on columns (terrena hall, the so-called Pompeian Grotto), and above it, on the first floor, a two-story, covered with a flattened (apparent) dome ballroom decorated with pilasters. These changes added a break to the palace's garden facade.
