This park presents models of historical buildings and fragments of buildings in Greater Poland cities. The main function of the museum is to show the spatial structure of the Piast Trail in its today's and partly historical shape as well as the process of settlement development and the formation of Polish statehood. The initiator of the uprising is the former mayor of Pobiedzisk Krzysztof Wojdanowicz. The open-air museum was opened in May 1998, in the year of the jubilee 950 - the anniversary of Pobiedzisk. Some miniatures were made in 1994. The open-air museum is directly adjacent to the Grodno Pobiedziska - a reconstruction of a former settlement. The park includes about 35 miniatures from the area of ​​the Piast Trail made in 1:20 scale. In 2010, the Center for Contemporary Art - a gallery in the form of a glazed skyscraper - was opened in the Skansen, where miniature works of artists from Poland and other countries are exhibited.
