In the 1870s, Rogalin was the center of social, political and cultural life. At that time, Kazimierz Raczyński received crowds of guests in the newly erected palace. This baroque building impresses with its front facade, it had a two-story ballroom, which was later transformed into a neo-Gothic armory with national souvenirs. The palace is surrounded by a rococo garden and a landscape park with age-old oaks (the most famous of them are Lech, Czech and Rus). An important part is the church-mausoleum, housing the underground tomb crypt with neo-Gothic decorations, outside it resembles the famous ancient temple called Maison Carée in Nîmes. In 1949, a branch of the National Museum in Poznań was established here. The crowning of the family's activity was the establishment in 1991. by Edward Bernard, President of the Republic of Poland in Exile, the Raczyński family at the National Museum in Poznań. According to his will, works of art belonging to the family are to be publicly available at the Rogalin headquarters and the Poznań Museum.
