The bridge considered a treasure of Opatówek, is the oldest iron bridge existing in Poland. It leads through an artificial moat in the city park, which surrounded the former palace of general Józef Zajączek. It is a footbridge designed for pedestrians, a single-span, arched bridge with four main iron cast girders. Each girder is composed of three segments connected with screws. The footbridge is supported on stone supports with a 10.30 m span. Presumably this bridge was cast at the Roechling brothers' mill in Saxony. The construction of the bridge dates back to 1824, the structure is cast together with the central segment of the girder. The bridge, except for the balustrade, has been preserved in its original condition. Neglected in recent decades, it is in very poor technical condition with advanced corrosion of the main girders.
