The Wolsztyn engine house is still an active engine house, from which steam engines are issued daily for running scheduled passenger trains on the route to Poznań. This is the only place where you can see workshops, machinery and equipment as well as other technical facilities to maintain and repair steam engines. It is not an open-air museum or museum specially created for the presentation of steam locomotives and their facilities, but a real locomotive depot that has been open for over 100 years. Only here every day you can see a hot steam-boiling steam engine.
