Greater Poland is not only a land full of monuments. These are also areas that are conducive to rest and recreation. One of the most important towns in Greater Poland, which acts as a summer resort, is very popular among tourists Gołuchów. Its biggest attraction are two museums and a swimming pool open in summer. The local attraction of Gołuchów is the castle. This Renaissance building, which was to serve as a residential and defensive foundation, was erected by the Leszczyński family in the mid-16th century. It obtained its current shape thanks to the reconstruction that took place in the early nineteenth century. The castle quickly became a museum, and the first private art museum was established here during the time of Princess Izabela Czartoryska. Today, you can still see interesting collections of art and old handicrafts in the castle interiors. Near the castle, in the former distillery, there is another interesting museum - the Forestry Museum, while in the coach house from the 19th century you can see an interesting nature exhibition. For lovers of recreation and relaxation, however, the biggest attraction in this area is the Gołuchowski Lagoon, on whose shores operate bathing resorts and recreation centers.
